I Climb.
You Give.
Together We Will Make a DIFFERENCE.
Directions:
1. Choose your following donation amount "per mountain"
2. Choose your Charity
3. Submit Pledge
4. Donations will be processed after The Climb is finished!
How it works?
You pledge an amount for every mountain that I can climb within the 30 days. It's just that simple!
100% of your money will then go straight to the charity(s). I've been financially blessed and do not need any personal support. Thank you!!
I'll be attempting to climb 58 of America's tallest group of mountains, the "fourteeners" in 30 days. Learn more about "The Climb" here
For this journey I will be personally doing a 1 for 1 MATCH OF UP TO $5000 FOR ALL DONATIONS MADE PRIOR TO AUGUST 22th 2013! Basically, every dollar you give is TWO dollars to do good!
My customary "statement of giving", showing the total donations, where they went to, and confirmation letter from the individual charities will be posted in PDF format after "THE CLIMB"
Charity options for your donation:
1. Save The Children
Save The Children protects and literally saves children all over the Globe. They work on every continent saving the lives of children from things like AIDS, famine, war, poverty, disease, and much more. They work here in America as well in many of our poor and dangerous communities. They are a very highly ranked charity with internal expenses at less than 9%, making them also one of the most efficient organizations on the globe. Around 21,000 children die each day around the world, mostly from avoidable causes. Save The Children is reducing this number every day. Click the Icons for more information
1. Samaritans Purse, Disaster Relief, at home and abroad.
I've had the personal pleasure of volunteering with Samaritans Purse during hurricane Sandy. They are often the FIRST response group with boots on the ground, often weeks before the Red Cross International. Samaritans Purse provides relief, food, and rebuilds communities in every kind of disaster from hurricanes to warzones. They are an extremely well run organization with only 13% administrative expenses, and are one of the highest rated charities in America. Click the icons for more info:

For all Donations to SaveTheChildren! 8/10/13
9/1/2013 Today Dan and his Dad hiked 3 peaks, with an estimated elevation gain of 7900 feet total. They peaked Mt. Wilson at 10 a.m., did the traverse to El Diente, elevation = 14,159, and then hiked on to Wilson Peak, elevation = 14,017, peaking that at 4:52 p.m. It was a long, but good, day. At the end of the day, Dan and Forrest met up with Dan's Mom, Cathy, and her good friend, Dianne to eat dinner. Dan and Forrest then drove to Yankee Boy Basin Trailhead to hike Mt. Sneffels the next day.
